"We don’t have a formal policy on animal research. As a charity we don’t fund laboratory based research. We focus on psychosocial and applied clinical study. Other organisations fund basic science and lab-based research into epilepsy, but there is a notable gap in funding psychosocial and applied clinical research areas. We don’t anticipate that we will consider funding animal research in the foreseeable future".
