Download “Monkey in a Cage” by Maria Daines today to push it up the charts by International Primate Day (September 1st) and help publicise the ADI campaign to end primate experiments across Europe.
Celebrity supporters of Animal Defenders International (ADI) were ‘jailed’ in a primate cage in London today to promote International Primate Day on Saturday, 1st September. This year’s event focuses on ADI’s campaign to end primate experiments in Europe.
Celebrities who went ‘inside’ included: Meg Matthews; Maria Daines; and Julia Stephenson.

393 MEPs have signed our Written Declaration which is before the European Parliament. This calls for urgent action to end experiments on wild caught monkeys and chimpanzees, and for a timetable to be set to end all primate experiments across Europe. Signatories include MEPs from each EU member state and from every political persuasion including: Michel ROCARD, former French Prime Minister; Anneli JÄÄTTEENMÄKI, former Finnish Prime Minister; John BOWIS, former British Health Minister; Joseph DAUL, President of the EPP-ED Group; Monica FRASSONI, co-President of the Green/EFA Group; Eva-Britt SVENSSON, Vice-President of the GUE/NGL Group; Jens-Peter BONDE, co-President of the ID Group; Cristiana MUSCARDINI, co-President of the UEN Group.
