Following the nationwide ban, the first Bolivian circus has gone animal free and the animals have been handed to ADI.
Five lions, three males and two females, and a Hamadryas baboon from Circo Abuhadba are on their way to freedom. The five lions have recently been moved into a brand new quarantine facility, and they are on their way to a new home into a sanctuary in California.
This project follows ADI’s successful and historic campaign for a law banning on all animals in circuses in Bolivia. Now that law is passed, the future is looking bright for the Bolivian animals.
