What are the alternatives to animal testing?
There are cell, tissue and organ culture; analytical techniques (such as Accelerator Mass Spectrometry for use with microdosing), epidemiology, quantum pharmacology, digital computer systems for predicting likely effects of chemical substances by comparison with known chemicals; analogue computer systems (e.g. modelling human receptors and testing drug molecules); MfRI and other imaging techniques.
